"This series of 12 paintings is an emotional visual poem about love, death and all in between – about youth, beauty, growing-pains, about sweet longing for moments that are gone and about fleetingness of all precious things. It is also a poem about metaphysical nature of time and our relationship to it. In many ways, living one’s life with full breath in the moment NOW, letting go of dispiriting personal history as well as of a mental precept for the future, you defy the gravity of time.
Almost all paintings in this series bear strong symbolic references to wind and water. I’ve been having
exceptionally vivid dreams involving hurricanes, tsunamis and tidal waves for all my life. Water in its archetypal meaning provides life as well as harbors danger and mystery, and symbolically stands for emotion.
I’ve been striving to depict these young fragile creatures quite at ease playing within frantic unrestrained nature force, and for me it means freedom and wilderness of spirit. And much more. Healing the hurt, claiming the body, embracing the shadows, releasing the guilt and shame, facing every fear, and standing within the present awake, powerful, abundant, joyful and calm."
